Interior Book Design

• Minimalist book design (no images or flourishes): $3.45/page

• Detailed book design (images - up to 10 provided by client - page flourishes, chapter title elements, added text elements such as tables, charts, or non-standard paragraph formatting, etc.): $4.00/page*

Beta Reading

Beta reading is a critical first step as you think about publication. This editing style focuses on general grammatical feedback and overall first impressions on your work. We focus on important parts of any piece of work such as flow and pacing but also keep an eye out for character development, plot and general readability.

• $230 for a manuscript under 50,000 words. Extra $17.25 for every additional 10,000 words. An extra fee of $28.75 will apply to manuscripts that require additional contextual knowledge (e.g. historical fiction, fantasy, sci-fi etc.).

Light Copyediting ($9.20/page)

We’ll edit an unformatted manuscript - sent to us in a Microsoft Word document or Google doc - for spelling, grammar, accuracy, and consistency.

Cover Design

• Formatting an existing cover: $86.25

• Simple cover design: $172.50

• Complex cover design (custom illustration, graphic design assets, customized font/typeface): $345.00

Manuscript Assessment

We’ll evaluate your manuscript and provide insight on the key areas you’d like feedback on: character development, plot, writing style, adherence to genre conventions, and/or overall impressions of the work as a whole. We’ll markup your manuscript and will also provide a written report that summarizes our feedback. If you’d like to discuss further, we’d be happy to meet for a virtual consultation as well.

Substantial Copyediting ($13.18/page)

We’ll edit for everything included in Light Copyediting, as well as provide stylistic/substantive editing and feedback.
